Tell us about yourself and what drew you to Swiss American Wealth Advisors.
Ever since I was a kid, I’ve been fascinated with the world of finance. I remember asking every adult I encountered about savings vehicles, how the stock market worked, the best businesses to start, and more. I was obsessed! However, I couldn’t get many people to satisfy my questions, particularly around investing, despite my curiosity. As I grew older, it became clear that few people clearly understood how to manage their finances properly. To tackle this problem, I told myself that I’d make it my mission to help individuals in the realm of finance.
I was introduced to Swiss American Wealth Advisors by my friend Justin Halvorson, Swiss American’s former Summer Marketing Associate. After hearing about the incredible opportunity to learn and implement marketing strategies for the firm, I knew I wanted to be a part of it. Not only will this firm enable me to grow as an individual, but I’ve been given a chance to improve the firm’s outreach – allowing for more people to be positively impacted.
Why are you interested in digital marketing?
I recognize how much our world values its technological devices. We use our devices to call, message, check up on friends and surf the web at a rate we’ve never seen. More and more, people are using message boards, social media, digital publications such as blogs and video to become educated about financial issues and finding the right advisor for their situation. It’s clear that we’re living in a new age, and in that new age, marketing through these mediums is crucial. Participating in digital marketing gives me the opportunity to develop and share high-quality content with our audience.
What are you looking to accomplish during your time as an Associate?
My primary goal is to help the firm grow its outreach for Swiss American families with US-Swiss cross-border planning needs. I understand how valuable it is for individuals in this situation to have a financial plan that addresses their complex needs and unique concerns. Therefore, the more value I can provide Swiss American Wealth Advisors, the more value Swiss American Wealth Advisors can provide to the community they serve.
What are some things you enjoy doing out of work?
Ever since I was a kid, I loved playing sports. I spent most of my time playing soccer, as I had previous ambitions to play soccer professionally. After playing in middle school, high school, and eventually college, I’ve now shifted my athleticism towards playing golf and training Jiu-jitsu (not your typical athletic combination). On top of playing sports, I love reading. My three favorite books are Ali: A Life by Jonathan Eig, Good to Great by Jim Collins, and The Psychology of Money by Morgan Housel.
